At RJ we pride ourselves on providing students with exciting , varied and professional performing experiences throughout their time with us.

We encourage students to take part in shows as its a great way to build confidence and learn valuable skills , however taking part is totally optional.

Our shows 

We are proud to say that every year all our 1-2-1 students are given the opportunity to perform a solo in our end of year showcase. As well as this we have several performances that run on a two year schedule .

School Year 1:

Christmas Show  

This is a favourite of many , set in a beautiful church with mulled wine and mince pies as refreshments!  All students both singing and acting and group and 1-2-1 are welcome to take part in this wonderful show.

Duet Show Case 

In our spring term we offer 1-2-1 singing students chance to take part in our Duet showcase. A great opportunity to work on harmonies and building a rapport with another performer, within a small and intimate theatre setting.

Acting Showcase 

Every year each 1-2-1 student gets to perform monologues in our acting showcase, which has a different theme each year. Our group acting classes are also invited to take part in this small and intimate setting. 

Solo Showcase

Our solo showcase is performed in a social club setting and offers each 1-2-1 student the chance to perform on their own. Group classes are welcome to take part in ensemble numbers. This show is loved by many as it's a great way to see improvement year on year with students.

School Year 2:

London Show 

Every two years we offer this fantastic experience for our pupils. We travel to London to perform on a West End Stage . The whole process is so valuable for students and its always their favourite time at RJ. We rehearse in a very condensed period , meaning they have top learn things very quickly and experience long days , just how it would be in the professional world. The day in London is such a memorable and treasured day for them all .

Big Theatre Show

Every two years we take put on a full scale musical theatre show .  We write the musical story and use popular songs from musicals to enable students to showcase a wide variety of skills and styles. Lead parts are shared out between our 1-2-1 acting students . Every student in the school is welcome to take part in this memorable and exciting occasion. A firm favourite amongst students.
